From my love of cars and design, in particular branding. Through my extensive research I have produced a collection (Vol.1) of books. Each one specific to a particular car brand. My aim is to bridge the gap between both the car community and design community. I want car enthusiasts (my target audience) to be able to look at their beloved car brands from a different perspective. The project takes car brand logos and decodes them, looking into the semiotics, geometric shapes, colour and typography to name a few. I wanted to dissect each car brand logo from a graphic design point of view and understand why it was created, why has the brand become so successful & so recognisable globally. The books look into the history and heritage of the companies, their logos from the time they have been alive, how they have evolved and why they have evolved over time. The format of the books is a homage to old handbooks & car manuals that were carried within the car. Stab-bound with different coloured wax thread to differentiate each book.
